Reiki works with a universal life-force energy and has helped many people on their healing journeys. My training and approach, however, are quite different in scope and methodology.

There are many light workers whose gift is connecting with Souls who have transitioned, however I use my psychic abilities in a variety of other ways, and mediumship is not one of them. That said, it is possible that a departed Soul will show up during your reading, but this is more symbolic and not an opportunity for conversation.
